The Programme is a training course for people with a learning disability who would like to develop their talent in dance. It focuses on dance for creativity and performance! All members get the opportunity to attend for 1 or 2 days a week (Monday& Wednesday) 9.30am-3.30pm at the TIN Arts Durham studio. Each day we work on dance technique, creative skills, performance skills and much more.

The Hatha Yoga class is a drop in class so there is no need to book in advance. Cost is £8 payable via bank transfer or cash. Class is mixed in terms of ability and experience – beginners can access the asanas (postures) at their level and experienced yogis can feel they are being progressed and challenged.

TinyTalk classes give you the ability to communicate with your baby before they can speak at an award-winning baby signing class. We teach signs using British Sign Language and they are interactive classes where we sing well-known nursery rhymes, action songs and incorporate hands-on sensory activities. Babies will develop communication skills and they also encourage physical development. Classes are suitable from birth to around 2 years although older siblings are welcome to accompany younger babies. Classes are £5.50 each and can be booked and paid for in either half term or full term blocks.

Baby Sensory is an educational and developmental programme specifically designed for babies from birth up to 13 months of age.
Babies’ brains develop more in their first year than any time in their lives and our classes are designed to let our babies have lots of fun, whilst stimulating their brain development through brilliant sensory activities. We have over 40 different lesson plans! So, no two weeks will be the same and they have all been expertly designed in the UK by Dr. Lin Day (PhD. M. Phil. PGCE. DipEd. BSc.)
You can expect bubbles, parachutes, baby signing, music and instruments, light shows, invigorating smells, puppets and so, so much more!
Baby Sensory will be at FMYCA every Thursday, 10am – 11am & 11:30am – 12:30. It is £6 per class, however classes run on a fixed term basis and are payable in full at the time of booking. Bookings are made via babysensory.com.

Ingeus is the largest single provider of NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) services across the country, with more than 107,000 referrals to date. The organisation has flexible dates each week.
People referred to the scheme will get tailored, personalised help to reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes including education on healthy eating and lifestyle, help to lose weight and bespoke physical exercise programmes, all of which together have been proven to reduce the risk of developing the disease.
There are currently 2.6 million people with Type 2 diabetes in England with around 200,000 new diagnoses every year. While Type 1 diabetes cannot be prevented and is not linked to lifestyle, Type 2 diabetes is largely preventable through lifestyle changes.

Sweaty Mama is a unique and effective way to exercise whilst you bond with your child. No need to organise childcare to get to the gym, Sweaty Mama allows you to spend quality time with your child whilst you undertake the workout. Exercises are adapted to suit all ages & development of the child as well as suit the fitness level of the Mama. Over the course of sessions, you gradually build up your fitness level and strengthen your core & posture to rehabilitate your body after having a child. A fab, fun workout to upbeat music both you and your child will love!* With babies, toddlers and Preschoolers all joining in the fun!
Sweaty Mama is a 45 minute session incorporating a warm up, a mixture of fun cardio tracks and some effective resistance & core strength tracks too. We do some floor work and interact throughout the session so that the children are entertained.
We work Sweaty Mama on a 6 week continual course, so that you get to know the other Mamas and children but also so you can build up the exercises each week as you get fitter and stronger. The course is £40 for 6 weeks.

This is a traditional martial art school teaching the art of Shotokan and Seishin-do. Students from the age of 6 years upwards are taught. The cost must be paid in advance per month: Peewee 6 to 12 years at a cost of £12.

Senior 17 and up at a cost of £25.
Seishin-do also has an advanced student class based on the Samurai arts of old, by invitation only, held on a Friday evening from 18:00 – 20.00.
